If you take a right from the main trail entrance, it only goes about 3.7 miles and then you have to turn around as thereās a private entrance passing the railroad crossing where the restroom is. If you go left at the main trailhead itās all gravel. you will hit the gravel road and thatās where the 20 some odd miles to ride is.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreLovely, easy walk that connects to Fish Lake Trail. There's a lot of birds, Marmots, and chipmunks among other hidden creatures. You may experience the occasional train on the tressel overhead. The rock formations and plants are intriguing. Just don't confuse the Biscuit Root with the Poison Hemlock flowers! I captured a picture of the Poison Hemlock. It's a yellow flower with an umbrella shaped bloom. The water flows over the trail at some times of year but it's not been a hindrance thus far. We also pick up after our dog....
