Sunnybrook Preserve — Attraction in Chester Township

This is a small but very beautiful park. Our family comes here several times a year, especially for some peace during hectic holiday get togethers! There are three trails to follow. You can hike between 1 and 2 miles. The woods are mature deciduous with some pine mixed in. There is a very nice stone and beam enclosure and pit toilets next to the enclosure. There is a short paved walking trail loop extending from the parking lot. I would expect this trail to be very friendly to people with impaired mobility. The other trails are well maintained and surfaced with pea gravel. There is a lovely brook near the trail head at the bottom of a fairly steep slope. I attended a friends surprise birthday party at Sunnybrook Preserve. It was a wonderful location for any party or gathering. Plenty of shelter spots, shaded areas, plenty of space for children to play or adults to relax in the sun or the shade. There was a beautiful fire burning fireplace, grills, ceiling heaters on in the outdoor lodge area where our party was, plenty of sitting picnic tables. and pet friendly. My wife & I, as well as a couple friends, were invited to a surprise birthday party at Sunnybrook Preserve. The accommodations were very comfortable with thoughtful amenities! The pleasantly rustic pavilion had a fireplace, if required, & the back wall of the pavilion was a actually a large barn door. This opened up to a fair sized lodge abutting the pavilion. Picnic tables throughout. Restrooms were very near, as well as the ultra close parking area with large spaces & wheelchair accessible parking spots!
