A lovely dirt trail jaunt down the ridge overlooking Chesterfield Valley and back up again. The right side (first trailhead you encounter coming up from the parking lot) is the more steep climb, and the left side is more gradual. There are a few spots with benches to pause and take in the view. Being so small & close to the city it's perfect for a quick mini hike! But PLEASE NOTE: Stay out of the scrubby grass field that's just off the parking lot that the path to the trailheads cuts thru, it's full of chiggers!!!

Hidden gem in the heart of Chesterfield. Takes about 20-25 minutes to walk the short loop trail. Most of the trail is in the woods and there are some good hills. The trail is natural so it gets pretty muddy after rain. About 8 parking spaces at the trail head.

Nice little park with a scenic and hilly 1/2-mile single-track looped trail. Tends to get a bit overgrown in the summer, so don't forget the bug spray if it's tick season! No restrooms or water access, but there is a picnic table.

Trail is about a one mile circle with a lead-in path from the small parking lot. From the lead-in, if you turn right where the trail forks the path is a steep downhill. We proceeded slowly and made it down no problem with hiking boots and running shoes. Beautiful views of the flood plain and MO river. Negatives were because it's in the metro area some visitors don't understand the concept of Leave No Trace. We saw in a few places dropped tissues/napkins, and dog feces - one of which was in the MIDDLE of the lead-in trail. In...

Small place with around 10 parking slot with one handicapped parking. Spotted a picnic table as well which can hold upto 6 people. Today went there and found it's not suitable for kids. The grasses are bit more grown up, there are small fly like insect and not to mention mosquitoes. Got 2 mosquito bytes within 5 mins and headed back to another nearby trail. Of course this is a conservation area so I don't expect it to be maintained like other park of recreation, however won't recommend for family...
