I went there to join my son and his girlfriend and watch them perform. Instead I just saw community stalkers and harassers and the pot growers from my home of 15 years who still live there and stole my life . With several other people in this town who drugged poisoned assaulted stole my car broke my leg refused me medical care and are still harassing me at my apartment. This is all I feel now distrust and constantly trying to figure out how people could treat people this way. I never had any problems in all the year I lived in Lakeview Apartments and worked in Durham. Went to In Motion late at night worked out around people I've seen and talked with. I even worked at in Motion. This town destroyed my life with the help of my brother and his illegal pot growing friends. Truth is truth one person being hurt buy more than one is a crime This is what...

This is a very big piece of Chico's reputation although over the years it has been going down hill... The homeless have taken over the whole place they do not pick up after them selfs and leave there felal matter in the body's of water. And you need to be careful of lots of needles and used c@ndoms. But on the bright side the children's playground is very large and clean and is pretty much the only place there the homeless don't go. You can play on the baseball fields which is nice. But the parking...

Awesome, peaceful and enjoyable Chico when it cools down (especially in the morning time), is MY CUP O' TEA. My wife and I really enjoy the trails out here and just walking around finding new trail paths as far as a route we'd like to take and just get outta the house after the sweltering summer time. We're both for m the central coast (though she's been here for sometime), I moved up here in 2014 for m S.L.O. CA, so she's STILL showing me new spots to...

Stay cool this summer in one of Bidwell Parkโ€™s swimming holes. ๐Ÿ’ฆโ˜€๏ธย  From family friendly to rugged and remote, theyโ€™re the best urban swimming holes in the state!ย  ๐Ÿ“ Sycamore Pool: The most accessible, with lifeguards on duty daily Noon-7pm Memorial Day to Labor Day ๐Ÿ“ Five-Mile Recreation Area: Wide, shallow, and calm waters, perfect for families ๐Ÿ“ Alligator Hole: First swimming hole in Upper Park, close to Lot E, with shallow waters ๐Ÿ“ Day Camp: One mile from Lot E and steps away from Lot H ๐Ÿ“ Bear Hole: Popular, featuring iconic black basalt and rushing chutes of water - wear water shoes and the current can be strong, so explore with caution ๐Ÿ“ Salmon Hole: one of the most scenic experiences, and one youโ€™ll have to work more for ๐Ÿ“ Brownโ€™s Hole: The most remote swimming hole, 3.5 miles from Lot E, so prepare for a hike When you visit, remember to #RecreateResponsibly and follow Leave No Trace principles. First time bird-watching here. The levees and trails that go around Hooker oak Park, back to 5 Mile and across the bridges over the creek, and back are pretty good for birding. Being on the levee, you're high enough up that you can easily see across large areas and catch lots of specimens in treetopsor as they pass by. Plus if you go in May, the native grapes are flowering and the smell is intoxicating: both pungent, sweet, and slightly nauseating!

5 Mile Recreation Area is one of the many magical areas within Bidwell Park. It's perfect for a casual stroll with your canine companion or to simply sit and chill on one of the benches Creekside. Home of the iconic 5 Mile Bridge spanning over Chico Creek. There are a number of picnic benches on the lawn area to enjoy lunch or group gatherings. Public restrooms are also available. It's a beautiful place to visit this time of year. 2/9/23
