Thurston Park — Attraction in China

A nice start on an awesome trail system. Cool, well constructed outhouses, though not sure what that pee catcher or whatever it is thing is all about ... and both needed cleaning/restocking. Also while I strongly encourage handicap accessibility, I saw no features in the "handicap" parking area that were not in the regular parking area. Lastly, couldn't find drip nor drop of the waterfalls shown off Trail #1 & Trail #2. The trails overall were nicely constructed and clean. Overall an excellent start to a sweet trail system. Beautiful and quiet area but the trails are rough to say the least. Esker randomly dead ends at a cliff and construction area with no explanation. Absolutely eaten alive by black flies but not much else to expect on a hot and humid Maine day. Need work but can be great some day. Look forward it seeing it in the fall with less...

Very secluded but very beautiful with natural waterfalls, a lake, walking paths with nature facts, and well maintained picnic tables. A great place for those that like to adventure where not many have gone but also like the convince of well kept trails...
