Great day at the Cypress Springs! There are 4 local companies offering canoe and kayak rentals. Many locals were with their own Paddleboard. There are two options to choose from, long 2 to 3 hours paddleling from the spring to the pick up location or a short one, which is about 40-50 min. Prep items needed: water socks, and put your bag in a plastic bag unless it is waterproof. Sun location before you get there, don't forget bug spray!!! It helps a lot! Unfortunately it had rained days prior and flooded the backwater swamp area making the water muddy. We could see where the aquifer source was positioned but it was barely blue surrounded by muddy waters. Mother Nature had other plans for us that day. Other pictures really show it's beauty so be sure if your traveling up to see it, you do it prior to any local big storms. Either way it's worth the trip if you love nature, we will be back to try again on...
