Almost my favorite place to hike in Cincinnati. I’m usually the only one there with my dog, very private and quiet. Great place to find and identify many birds, plants and fungi. Some things to note: I wish this park had another entrance or were more accessible by foot. I live nearby and feel weird just walking by a small residential area, when there isn’t really a sidewalk. I’ve seen a coyote here twice, be aware! They have never bothered me though and I usually hike alone. I was reading up on some history of this park online and wanted to follow the Underground Railroad section of the trail. When I got to this part, I followed my map and still got completely lost. Nothing was clearly blocked off which made things confusing. The trails are not well mantained and I ended up on one side of the park all the way to the other on accident. This was bad considering I had to walk around a broken bridge (my dog could not use it) and having been here several times I may have gotten lost without knowing about the bridge. Read moreAwesome park...I arrived just after it had rained and got out with my dog and a couple feet from my car in the grass i spotted 2 box turtles. Nice place to take the kids to see the wildlife and nature. Its a good place to walk your dogs complete with trails and plenty of room for your pet to run around. All in all an awesome place to visit and spend sometime...
