Mt. Airy Arboretum

I like living so close to nature! Autumn is such a wonderful time to visit Mt Airy. The gardens are gorgeous and bursting with color. This area is a gem secluded within the City. A refreshing, well manicured park. The only thing that I don't like is that the trails are closed for a large portion of the late fall and winter months due to the "depopulation project" to keep the local deer from getting too overcrowded. I understand why, but I think that only allowing the trails to be open on Tues and Thurs is a bit limiting. I suppose there's a reason, but... I would like to have the opportunity to hike in the winter months.
