This place is a great place to take small children and be able to feed and pet farm animals. They have over 20 different animals, reptiles, birds and fish to keep the family entertained for hours. From the camel's to peacocks to emus to striped skunks and potbellied pigs (some new babies as well as grown), it's a fascinating and educational adventure.
Guests can purchase food to feed the various animals at the admission counter as well as with quarters from gumball machines scattered around the property.
The cost is pretty affordable, although it's best to go when the weather is accommodating as there aren't many human shelters.
The highlight of the farm (in my opinion) is at the top of the hill: a pond filled with Koi, Carp, and ducks with a couple wooden swings to relax in while watching the school of fish squabble over the pellets that are readily available for 50¢.
I went with my family over Labor Day weekend as a recommendation from my mom who had been there before.
It was a nice way to spend time with my nieces...
Read moreTwo words; LOVED IT! We all had a blast visiting this petting zoo. They have so many different kinds of animals, including bunnies that you get to go in and play with and feed. My son particularly loved the baby raccoon that was hanging out with the owner at the front desk (she said it is going to be released back into the wild today! How exciting) the whole property is absolutely stunning and you can tell that they take pride in what they do - caring for animals. All are very well taken care of and extremely loved. Not very busy on a Sunday afternoon, so we explored with ease and didn’t feel bombarded with people. I could just walk the lands for hours and visit with the cute animals of course. We highly recommend visiting this place! Also, the woman (owner) was so very kind! That’s a huge...
Read moreMy husband and I arrived at Muddy Boots Farm in Laurelville to a pristinely kept farm full of charm and décor. The animals are in excellent care and are very friendly. Touring the farm you can see the attention to detail in every visible spot. The owner Tammy, took the time to show us around and share the stories of how each animal lovingly arrived at the farm, each with a purpose and story to tell. We both highly recommend a trip to Muddy Boots farm as it was a very memorable experience. Her brochure says "No child left inside" which is on par with the excitement that children get when taking in a visit to...
