This place only gets 2 stars because I have been going to this park for about 2 years, and never have had a major issue before. Needless to say, I won't be coming back here.

My boyfriend and I took our 6 month puppy husky/pit/boxer mix here (his first time) with my older 3 year old pitbull( been going for about 2 years to dog parks so she is pretty socialized).

The second we walk in 2 dogs start bullying the puppy. We walk along hoping the dogs would get disinterested, but they're persistently knocking him to the ground and are biting at him. He's so terrified, he's just lays on the ground defenseless.

My boyfriend yanks one of the dogs off him, as surprise surprise, no owner is paying attention to their dog until someone intervenes and touches their dog.

Dude gets all pissy and asks my boyfriend why is he touching his dog. And proceeds to tell us that we have "bad energy". and is yelling at us about not having a well trained dog; he calls our puppy over, who jumps up to greet him. Calls him a bad dog. I yell back that he's only a puppy.

We walk away. My boyfriend (6'1") picks up our puppy and the other dog who's huge is jumping up to trying and get the puppy. The owner is a small woman who is speaking to get dog as if its no great importance to stop jumping in my boyfriend's face. At this point, I'm about ready to punch a dog in the face because their stupid owners can't control them.

All the while, my dog is off doing her own thing.

We finally just leave after this whole fiasco.

I will not be coming back here. People are more interested in other things than paying attention to...

My dog was attacked at this dog park by a man and his dog. Another dog attacked my dog and the owner pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot my dog. All of this occurred while his dog was biting mine and right in front of my 3 and 7 year old daughter. The owner hit my dog on his head multiple times with his gun. Once his dog finally let go of my dogs head he discovered that his dog had no bites. The police were called but come to find out no charges were brought and animal control did not even send me the paperwork to file a citizens arrest because the man claimed he feared for his life even though his dog wasn't even bit. I don't understand why this dog park has such good reviews because since this had occurred i have talked to a lot of people who have reported to me that dogs frequently get attacked at this dog park. Do not bring your dogs here. It's horrible how people can get away with such animal cruelty .I even have vet records proving what occurred but the citrus heights police will not do anything and although I am provided a lawyer through my job he is scared to take this case due to the man having a gun. Avoid all the trauma that me and my children have had to experience and just don't bring your dogs to...

It was great !!! I haven't been to a dog park around here yet and yesterday was a wonderful experience! I wasn't sure how my dog would do, but he actually loved it too! They have two separate areas, one for big dogs and one for smaller ones. These areas are very spacious as well, the big dog area is huge! I have a smaller dog so that's the side we went into. Plenty of chairs and a couple benches all around. Also, one or two small tables. They had plenty of poop bags stocked, so no excuse not to pick up after your dog. There was also a lot of tennis balls and a few bowls around with access to water. There were trees for shade. I also noticed a couple kiddie pools they could play around in. As for the people, everyone was so friendly and welcoming!! There was lots of dogs, maybe two to a person, mostly. During our visit, plenty of people came in and out pretty steadily. I could tell a few come here frequently and they were more than happy to welcome a couple new faces. They made sure my dog felt comfortable as well. My dog was more into peeing everywhere rather than interacting with all the dogs, but I think that's mostly because it was our first time. We are most definitely looking forward to...

This is a very clean well kept dog park. It has two fenced areas for large and small dogs. There is a super friendly group of regulars in the morning and the evening. The dog owners here are attentive and manage their dogs quickly when the occasional play gets too rough. There are also two slash areas with pools in the large park and one in the small park.

This specific dog park has a nice vibe to it, you do the usual double gate routine and your dogs are off to a personal mashup of nice pups for your pups to socialize with. There's a separated part between the big pups and the little pups ofcourse for good measures. But other then that open safe free area for all sized pups too enjoy

Lucy & I love our evenings at the puppy park. Everyone is so friendly & the dogs all seem to get along. This park can be a little scary when it gets dark. They really could have more lighting out there but all in all I really enjoy this park. The walking path, baseball fields & the puppy park gets my Chiweenie plenty of exercise.
