My family and I stopped here on our way to the Buffalo Niagara Aquarium and it was breathtaking. The views are incredible and the landscapers that were there at the time were doing a beautiful job keeping that property cleaned, and managed. I didnt expect to see such a Scenic area, given we have never been this way, but it was a real beauty! I liked how they had several picnic tables around to sit, as well as lots of room for the kids to run around and get out that energy before we got to the Aquarium. I did see several people in boats, and a few people fishing there as well. The only thing I was surprised to notice, was the lack of any sort of bathroom facilities or even blue bowls. I definitely felt like there should have been something on site, especially if people stop there to fish, picnic, and site see. Otherwise the area was divine.

Well, this was interesting. We stopped to find out what the giant monument looking buildings were all about but the only information provided was about historic Fort Schlosser. Turns out, the modern ‘ monuments’ are actually water intake controls that divert water from the river to the hydro electric plants downstream on both the US and the Canadian side. Interesting stuff.

Nice spot right on the Niagara River! Driven by before but had not stopped. Enjoyed a quick stop on our way to the falls and other spots in the area. In the warmer months, would make a beautiful spot to have a picnic gathering.
