Rich with culture, history, and heart. The Shako:wi Cultural Museum is a beautiful tribute to the Oneida people and the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. I was deeply moved by the stories shared—learning about the origins of lacrosse, the unity of the Five Nations, and the incredible craftsmanship behind traditional basket weaving. The staff were so kind, knowledgeable, and generous with their time. It felt warm, welcoming, and truly eye-opening. A memorable stop that left me with a greater respect for the culture and its...

A truly wonderful experience at the Shako:WI cultural center! The exhibits were incredibly interesting, and I felt so welcome from the moment I arrived.

I'm giving this a full 5 stars, and I especially want to thank Ron, Doris, and Cindy. They were so generous with their time, patiently answering all of my numerous questions and explaining things in such great detail. Their passion for the center's history and culture is truly infectious....

What a little gem we found. Definite place to stop for a visit. The building alone is amazing. Hand hewn logs from the Adirondacks. All interlocking with no hardware. Very interesting exhibits.
