Claremont Loop Trail isn’t just a hike—it’s a full-blown therapy session with mountain views and zero co-pays. This 5-mile loop has just enough incline to make you question your life choices… and then enough scenery to remind you why you’re glad you came.
From panoramic views that flex on your camera roll, to peaceful stretches shaded by oak trees, it’s nature’s way of giving you a big ol’ high five. You’ll see fitness warriors, casual walkers, and that one guy who clearly didn’t read the part about "loop" and brought flip flops.
Want to unplug, unwind, and undo that stress burrito you’ve been carrying around? This trail gets it. Birds chirp, breezes whisper, and the sun filters through the trees like it’s auditioning for a nature documentary.
Bring water, bring vibes, and bring your "wow this is gorgeous" face—you’ll use it a lot. And when you hit the top? Take a moment. Soak it in. That’s you, being awesome in nature.
Claremont Loop Trail is your local glow-up trail—humble, refreshing, and 100% worth the sweat.

The parking is $10 dollars. Be sure to tap your car license plate correctly.
After that on to the hike.
Since it is a loop, it really doesn't matter which side one picks. The steep and uphill amount is pretty much the same at both sides of the loop.
The whole is 5 miles in total. We did it with our 4 year old daughter. We do see other kids, who might be older, hiking with their parents. My little one did want to take more rest and complain along the way, but with the promise of fries and ice cream as part of her dinner. She made the hike without much trouble.
We bring some snacks along as well: apple, orange, banana and gummy bears. The little one gets a gummy bear every half-a-mile. Anything to motivate her to keep going!
There is a nice resting gazebo on the top of the mountain. 2.5 miles in. There are resting spots placed about .5 to a mile apart.
There is not much shade. If hiking during a sunny day. Please apply lots of sunscreen. Most rest spot are not shaded as well.
After the hike and dinner. The little one has no issue running around the house, jumping up and down as if the hike never happened. Bedtime, she was out the second her head hit the pillow... Lol.
