Claridon Woodlands — Attraction in Claridon Township

Wonderful park usually enjoyed by the locals. There are trails all around. There are 2 parking lots both within a few seconds of each other. One is closer to the build that has the restrooms and chairs and air conditioning. There is apavillion that is covered very close to the lake. A 30second walk from there gets you to the lake dock. I have caught bluegill and crappie here using tiny creature baits and a white spin tail. Beautiful, family friendly park! So many beautiful spring flowers this time of year, but it's a beautiful park to visit year-round. Most of the trails are very flat, so fairly handicap accessible. However the trails are not paved, so please keep that in mind if you're using a wheelchair or other adaptive equipment. A really nice building to use for parties or gatherings, has bathrooms, drinking fountains, and a nice kitchen. There's a nice pavilion to use with picnic tables, large pieces of sandstone to sit on all around the park, trails and info signs to read about the local wildlife.
