Unless you are from Geauga county go elsewhere. The girl at the boat house was thoughtless and not customer focused. I felt she discriminated against us as non-county residents and lied to us. Upon arrival approx 1:45 we were told there was an hour wait (which is fine) we asked if we could fill out the release forms while we wait or if there was a sign in. She said theres nothing to complete until we go out. We waited over in the pavilion area around the corner by the launch. We saw a couple come in and proceeded to go back up to the girl. There was a man at the window talking to the girl and we over hear her renting the boat to him. Meanwhile we had been the only ones waiting for 30 min. We proceed to let her know that we were next, she looks at me, my significant other and dog and tells us that dogs are not allowed on the boats. #1. She saw the dog the first time we were at the window and said nothing then. #2. NO WHERE on their website states this. In fact she referenced how dogs used to be allowed. I've checked the website news and updates page and nothing mentioned there. We tried to call the parks main office around 2:30 (they are open until 4:30) we called 7 times trying to get through but again when you see an out of county area code probably easy to ignore and have no...

I adore this park. It is a fantastic place for camping, hosting outdoor party's, having a barbecue and etc.

Camping at thus location is a must. just make sure to visit the website and call to reserve a plot for overnight camping. Rangers do patrol the park and will deal with anyone staying without paying for a reservation.

Where as if you are just looking to barbecue for an afternoon you can just show up and find a place where no one else is using the grounds. Be aware that the pavilions can be reserved like the camping sites. should be easy to see if the spot is reserved with conveniently posted lists of reservations that are attached to posts nearly each reservable area.

Park rangersworking at this location have been nothing but helpfull and kind. Last time I visited I hosted a last minute small cookout/birthday party for a friend. Issue was that there where a ton of other party's with reservations being held on that same day. We ask some rangers and they helped us find an area that was unused and well out of that springs murky puddles.

That's only one example of the delightfull experiences I've had at this park. It's well worth a visit if not a full on planned...

This is where the beautiful crooked Cuyahoga River starts. Very secluded scenic spot. Great place for a hike or flying my drone.

The Cuyahoga watershed begins its 100-mile journey in Hambden, Ohio, flowing southward to the confluence of the East Branch Cuyahoga River and West Branch Cuyahoga River in Burton, where the Cuyahoga River officially begins. It continues on its 84.9 miles journey flowing southward to Akron and Cuyahoga Falls, where it turns sharply north and flows through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in northern Summit County and southern Cuyahoga County. It then flows through Independence, Valley View, Cuyahoga Heights, Newburgh Heights and Cleveland to its northern terminus, emptying into Lake Erie. The Cuyahoga River and its tributaries drain 813 square miles of land in portions of...

A little Hidden Gem a sweet spot among the beautiful lands of Geauga County. Not to mention if you're a jog County resident you're able to use them for free. Campgrounds are great the lake and surrounding area is fantastic see wildlife non-stop Birds diving for fish herons Eagles you name it. Not to mention the memories that you'll have made with your family whenever you're going with or even if it's yourself. Very accommodating so much to do boardwalks places to set up hammocks. Our family and I come here every single weekend. Our boys are 13 and 14 and just enjoy just as much as they did when they were younger. We love this place there's nothing else to it. Just remember to please keep it clean.

This place is great, we've been here a few times, and they have always been super nice. We went kayaking and fishing for a while, we didnt really catch anything big, but we caught a few little guys, small perch, and bluegale. The water was low so there was a lot of algae and we got the opportunity to go on an island which was cool! The trails were all nice, and the camp grounds we all full. The community here is overall welcoming and kind
