Kaufman Dog Park — Attraction in Claridon Township

I used to love this place until people stopped following the rules. Today, we had a med vet worker with two unruly dogs attack my lab mix. My daughter who is seventeen, took him (like she does often) there to run out some energy. She refused to give me vaccination proof and then called me names. I was just trying to get health info and what happened. I never once used foul language against her. She had her big dogs in the wrong section of the park and due to her dogs being uncontrollable, had them on leashes. The harnesses were not tight enough to keep her dog in. The dog got out of the harness due to it not being tight enough. This is a off leash park. If she can't let them off leash around other dogs she should not come to a public dog park.

Another time an intact dog ( which is against the rules) attacked my dog. There needs to be a hotline or something put together so aggressive dogs and owners who don't follow rules can be banned. Responsible dog owners should not have to leave in order to keep their dogs safe.

Description of today's rule breaker: She is a heavy set women with black curly hair with a nose ring. She loves the B word (limited vocab)and has two pit mixes. She should be banned. She works for a vet but can't control two dogs and can't make sure a harness is in correctly. Avoid her if you see her there. Especially, if you have small dogs. My dog is med size, I can't imagine how her dogs would act around smaller dogs. Be careful. Luckily. my dog only had a small puncture wound on his face.

I won't be back. I rather travel and get a dog park membership. That way I know the dog...

WOW!!! An unexpected little slice of heaven for a pooch in Marion.

The space is surprisingly huge for the big dogs to play, I couldn't even get it all in one video without making it blurry!

It was a little muddy from all the recent rain, but all still easy to enjoy😄 so excited Marion has a great little pup stop! Even with my parents' big yard I wanted to take him out and run in a new space, so it was awesome to have some off leash time with a place Murphy could really take off for some sprints!

Thankful for the donors and people who made it possible for a nice area...

Excellent place to run your pup! Plenty of space, have met some very nice people and thier pooches, I try to take my dog there 2-3 days a week, let him run, play, chase sticks, and just let him do what he wants to do, I highly recommend this park, please consider taking your own best freind...
