We stayed in loop For, sure 62. Campground had just completed repairs and renovations and we were some of the first in after completion. Power (30amp) and water were great, however the sewer connections on half the sites were literally two feet higher than ground level on half the sites in D loop. Our black would have to be able to empty up hill to work. Prior to arriving I called and extended our stay by one day and was emailed confirmation. Unfortunately, a campground worker (not a Park ranger) very rudely banged on our door, waking me up and yelling that we had to immediately leave one day early. Even after my wife explained we had a receipt confirming our status. I had to get up, dressed, and drive to the office to complain about the sewer hookup AND the rude worker. Read moreStayed here for a boy scout camping trip with my son. The area and grounds and restrooms were very clean and maintained. We stayed at the Large Group E site. Was pleased that this site had a playground, basketball court, ping pong table, and a GaGa Ball court all on site! This kept the kids entertained the whole time aside from the hikes and exploring that you can do.
There was the Camp Store a short walk away, which was very nice if you need to get supplies or some treats! It also had a movie night as well as Lazer tag. The close by bounce pit and pedal carts were nice...
Read moreSpent a night at the Loop E group camping area. Half of the area is a little too hilly to be comfortable in a tent, but OK in a pinch. The upper area is nice and flat and perfect for tenting, but a bit far from the main fire pit. Still very pleased...
