One of my favorite parks in Clarksville! It has plenty of fun things to do with your children or they can explore by themselves. It is a pretty clean park with very little loose garbage. There is public restrooms (open only during "operating hours" during peak park season- summer). There are concrete walkways that go throughout the playground areas, leading from the parking lot to the picnic area. The playgrounds themselves have wood chips/mulch as filler with some soft foam/turf immediately coming off the walkway to the "on-ramps" for the play sets.
The splash pad is an amazing, free activity for children of all ages and sizes during the summer (it shuts down the 4th of September until the following May)!
A small skate park with rails, stairs and ramps is right across the street from the playgrounds, it has limited parking right in front of you can Park in the large playground lot.
There are concrete walking trails in that go around the playgrounds and behind the skate park in a treed area as well.
A dog park is completely separate from the playgrounds with its own parking lot also located at the complex.
It should be noted that the fields are closed to the public unless you are part of a recreational group/league that makes a reservation to...
Read moreI thought this place was great and friendly but no they showed their hospitality which wasnt good my granddaughter had a game there we came from Indiana to visit her and to see her play while in town. Well we dont usually take a handicap parking cause I feel even though I do have a card for my mirror well this weekend had been a rough one so I asked my husband to please use thw handicap spot. Well when we got there they were all full so to keep from blocking anyone else in the parking lot we parked on a grass spot next to the car parked in the handicapped....well next thing I know there was this man that was calling the police to have my van towed away because we offened him. Well the next time we visited we parked in a regular spot and I have to walk on crutches a long distance. And you lnow what I saw when was at that gane was cats and trucks parked in the same grass spots.....but their was noone threatening to tow their vehicle now I'm offended I feel he was profiling us. We were treated unfair and I'm disappointed becauae they should be leading as an example of goodness...
Read moreI've been bringing my dog to the Bark Park here for several months now, almost daily, weather allowing. The entrance/location of the dog park isn't marked in a way that can be seen from the main drive---turn right into the parking lot on the right past the skate park, and it's at the end of that lot. There are three fenced areas: one for larger (30+ lbs) dogs and two marked for dog under 30 lbs---but regular park users know that the smaller of these two is used as a "time-out" areas for dogs who aren't getting along with others. With as much as I love having this park available, I can't give it five stars for two reasons: 1) poor signage (sign on the main drive, more signs in the fenced area reminding people to clean up their dogs' messes along with visual no smoking signs are needed) and 2) lack of lighting---now that it's autumn and getting dark at 5:30 or earlier, for the safety of humans and dogs, the park needs its own lighting, since the lights at the distant ball fields aren't always on, and even when they are, they're too far away to really...
