Super cool and fun park, with a disc golf course! Modern new playground equipment. The playground is called Harmony Playground, and then the whole playground is divided into four other areas, watched one being named. Great landscaping and love the way they incorporated the playground into the terrain of the land. Saw something here I haven’t ever seen at any other playground….that noise-maker machine that plays the sounds of eight different animals. Really neat! Have seen something similar to it at two other playgrounds, but never this exact one. Maybe half or less of the playground area is shaded, so, don’t come in the middle of a hot day! They have a nice sandbox area too!

Review on the disc golf course: this is an excellent NOT BUSY course, it runs about 2 miles through the woods, and is challenging with elevations and drops, left curving fairways, and lots of woods. The fairways are very well maintained, free of brush and timber. The signage is needy, as only about half of the holes have signs directing you to the tee and displaying a layout and par. Without the signs it is hard to guess through the trees and around bends. Overall though a really good course for experienced disc golfers.

My boys and I love this place. The new turf fields are so awesome!!! We have a blast playing soccer. They have some benches for each field which have the lines painted. We do wear cleats and do just fine. There’s a walking path around the fields, bathrooms, baseball field, frisbee golf, nice playground for kids, water fountains, and plenty of parking.

Have been going to this park for many years and it used to be a much quieter, nicer park. Lately it has gone a bit downhill due to inconsiderate visitors. Leaving litter EVERYWHERE as if they do not understand what a trash or recycling can is. Having sex in their cars in broad view of minors, and leaving their condoms lying there on the ground...again, don't litter. Lots of people hanging out in large loud groups, racing in circles around the back area.... hoping for more police presence to stop this behavior or at least people being decent. The pros, it has nice trails and disc golf, fields are nice and they are building a playground, but if it continues with the before mentioned negative things....who would want...

My 2nd favorite park in Johnston County. Smithfield Parks & Recreation by SSS takes #1. This park has a peaceful, pretty, and clean location. I have drove up on a day when it wasn’t busy and have seen people disinfecting the playground which is great. I love the musical instruments and my son loves the rotating slide and the swings and sandbox. Very nice people always at this park. If your kids like sand, bring some beach toys they’ll love it! Stroller friendly place. Has bathrooms and a water fountain. There is a water feature that is winterized right now at the sandbox, I’m sure it’ll be fun...
