It's a minor peak on the side of North Peak, but if you want a slightly easier hike instead of going all the way to North Peak or Mt. Diablo, it's a good alternative. The trail is pretty steep in places, kinda rocky, the trail alternates from singletrack to wide fire roads. It also goes by a house that is way up on the shoulder of North Peak which seems a bit out of place. This hike could be done in winter, it's very muddy by the bottom but once you hit the rocky terrain, the mud all but disappears. Probably more comfortable in boots than sneakers, with all the rocks. Each of the four peaks offer their own sweeping vistas of the surrounding areas, including views of San Pablo and Suisun Bays, the Delta, the Central Valley, the hills leading towards the 580 corridor going towards Tracy, the 680 corridor going from Walnut Creek towards Dublin, the East Bay hills, and beyond. Roughly 15 mile hike do-able in eight hours (including breaks) if you're in decent shape and enjoy hiking. Plenty of information available on the internet if you're going to do some homework before you attempt this hike. Would definitely...

The trail down to the parking is pretty steep, you’d better have your tracking poles with you. And it is a looooong way down 😅 Be careful and try to enjoy it 😁 It’s pretty easy to follow it though, only a couple of turns where you’d better have...
