Part of the Chattahoochee National Forest that is some 750,000 acres (3039 square kilometers) and for reference, the State of Rhode Island is only 4000 square kilometers), I managed to get here just in time for sunrise. Read moreWhat a beautiful view! This scenic overlook caught me by surprise coming around a corner in the North Georgia mountains. I had a sandwich in the truck and decided to stop and finish it, was pleasantly surprised! Plenty of parking for bigger rigs and a few benches to sit on and enjoy the view. There are a couple of plaques that describe the area and it's history. Was nice to stretch the legs and take in the INCREDIBLE view! Definitely recommend. I just wish there would have been a trash bin to throw my sandwich...

Sheriff and perimedic said that they were going to land a helicopter there. 9/30/23 this time another biker had a tire go flat. Let them use my hot spot to get them some help on the way.
