So many of you may experience this your first time don't be discouraged don't give up but there is a certain time to go to Boulder cave definitely go to their website they have all the information that you would need because you have to remember there is a batcave there and you do not want to disturb nature during the winter time or early spring once you've passed that barrier LOL I learned the hard way I was able to go there during the summer time I took my two children 10 and 7 it was a wonderful experience that hike to the actual cave wasn't very long there was lots of families but everyone was you know doing their own thing because there is a lot to see while you're on your way up there from Little Lookout Ledges that you can see the small River below to the beautiful and several different kinds of trees that are around once you make it to the actual cave you will be astonished at the beauty from the waterfall to the beautifully made Trail to the awesomely cool not too scary cave which is bolder once you pass through the Batcave and come out the other side you will be greeted with a small stream that carries your imagination down with it after that it's a small climb back to the top in which you can walk around the bend and go through the cave again or just stick around and explore it's up to you get out there and experience it I...

It was an easy hike. I took my 12 and 9 year old and they loved it! We walked up the right side to get to the waterfall in the cave and the kids were able to go around the left side and go behind the waterfall and then out the right side no problem. Didn't have a flashlight for the cave, you definitely want something better than a cell phone because we didn't get far. Besides the smoke from all the fires it was awesome and there were a lot of people there too. And hop the little wall and climb up, but the rocks are slippery even if they look dry you still most likely have water on the bottom of your shoes and...

Large parking lot maintained by Rangers. $5 for parking for EVERY vehicle (regardless of whether or not you have a Discover Pass). Small steady incline of a hike to the cave, felt like about 1 mile one way, on a wide well-groomed dirt path, but easy enough for young children and the elderly. Inside the cave there is only a few hundred feet of walking but it does get dark enough that you'll need a light. You can hike back the same path you came in or follow the water in the canyon out of the cave, just be aware that way does involve sections with a foot or two of water so be prepared to get...

Boulder Cave is always a fun little hike. Finally got to walk through the cave since it just recently opened back up. If you plan on going remember to bring a flashlight and might want to go earlier in the day since this place closes at 4pm. A beautiful hidden little waterfall and swimming hole is right beyond the cave that you must see! If you go on this hike it's worth checking out. Right before the trail dips into the cave, keep going straight (off trail) for only about 50' feet. It's hidden behind a boulder. Easy to miss if you don't know it's there.👍

An enjoyable hike, good for families with some beautiful sights. The portion to the pictured waterfall is more of a scramble with some rock hopping, each child will need a adult helper. It is located upriver from the cave entrance. Nice picnic area near the parking lot. Another enjoyable trail along Naches River from this parking lot. This area requires a reservation ($7).
