For those who are interested – We got married in June 2022, I know, our review is late – but it's better late than never! We wanted to write something helpful considering Patrick was exactly that himself. Planning your wedding is super fun, but there are a lot of details to sort out all for the same day haha. Book the most important things first, you’ll feel better having one less thing to worry about! Originally, we booked with Patrick back in October 2019, when we were supposed to get married in June 2021, but later postponed due to the pandemic. Patrick was so kind and flexible, we were lucky that the venue was available for our new date. The most important task is booking your venue. Cabin Creek Lodge is a DIY venue – you’ll be responsible for planning/set-up/clean-up, but if you can handle that, it will be the perfect venue that offers all of the privacy you can imagine and no curfew – we celebrated into the night and never had issues. Patrick was so patient throughout the booking process, he answered all of our questions and even took the time to meet with us once before we booked and again right before our wedding to give us a walk-through of the Lodge, as well as the Twin Ponds Cabin just up the street – which we also booked so we would have extra privacy, a space for our wedding party to get ready, and additional bedding if we needed it. We absolutely recommend booking Cabin Creek Lodge + Twin Ponds Cabin for your event, it’s a truly magical place to host a wedding. You’ll want to book before...
Read moreWe had our wedding here this July and absolutely loved it as a venue. It was close enough to the city/airport that our out of town guests didn’t feel put out getting there, while still being in the woods and mountains enough to feel like a real get away (and far enough from neighbors not to have a noise curfew which we really appreciated). The setting on the river was lovely, for the ambience, photos, and keeping guests cool in the summer. We were aiming for a summer-campy type wedding and the bunk rooms worked great for that (obviously not a good fit for all types of guests so your mileage may vary there). As did the kitchen, which was a bit dated but had basically everything we needed to prep food for big groups. There were good spaces for lawn games, dancing, a cocktail hour, and our meals. There was a power outage during our welcome drinks which was a bummer but not the venue’s fault, and the property manager was very responsive and drove up to start up a generator (of course the power came back on minutes after he got the generator going). Also worth noting the venue is very DIY with no staff while you’re there - it worked great for us but only the right spot if you feel comfortable having guests help out with various aspects of the wedding or with hiring more help. Overall we were genuinely thrilled with the venue and...
Read moreThis was my dad & uncle’s dream & they built this place in 2006. Unfortunately my dad passed just before it opened but the family kept going on with it. It got to be too much & it was taken over by Patrick & his family. My daughter was young when we were there & she had said that she wanted to get married there. Well when she got engaged it wasn’t in the family. I called up & spoke with Patrick & told him who I was & he was so wonderful about making it so that my daughter could get married there 💕👰🏼♀️🤵♂️ It is the perfect setting for a wedding w/ a full chef’s kitchen, a large dining, great deck for dancing & plenary of beds if quests want to stay. My family is great full that it can continue to be the place we planned for it to be! Patrick is wonderful & do t hesitate to ask him any questions 😊 There are even horses that come to...
