Ensign Ranch — Attraction in Cle Elum

Attended Mormon church camp here for a couple of years, and it has some of the most beautiful campsites imaginable. There are multiple separate campgrounds for group camping, each with different types of lodging. Each large camp zone has a cluster of a few close campgrounds, 100-500 yards apart, each with a central fire pit. Some clusters contain 4-6 A-frame cabins in each smaller campground, another camp cluster has a campgrounds with long houses that sleep 12-20, and yet another has campgrounds each with 4-6 large canvas tee-pees that sleep 8-10 people on the ground or cots. I genuinely loved camping out in nature and experiencing the different lodging options that the ranch had to offer. But the absolute best part was skipping banal future-housewife camp crafts (mostly spent painting wooden jigsaw tchotchkes) in order to go hiking, exploring and wading in the river, and communing with...

Ensign Ranch is such a fun place to go camping, or for those who want to sleep inside there is a lodge there. At Ensign there are so many fun things to do you can go down a waterslide that they made there with the tubes they have they have pattle boards, kayaks, there is hatchet throwing, archery, tons of biking trails and hiking trails and one of my favorite thing from the last time I went was the sunsets it is so pretty up there. Also if you can go to this area that is about 10-15 minutes away you can hike to this beautiful waterfall. The waterfall hike is only 1 mile long. I almost forgot to tell you the hike name is...

My siblings and I try to go camping once a year and Ensign Ranch is our go-to campsite. The spots are clean, the views are beautiful, and they're always upgrading their facilities. This year, we noticed new targets at their archery range and that the cluster of campsites we rented had a potable water spigot installed significantly closer!

However, dogs aren't allowed, which is sad. Our pup loves to go camping and we had to leave her with a friend. Some of their rentable equipment is also worn and in need of being repaired or replaced.
