Speelyi Beach — Attraction in Cle Elum

As much as it's beautiful. Dogs are freely roaming around. Then I got into an argument towards a White person where I felt he was discriminating me and my family. I yelled at his dog to "go away". He was upset and said it doesn't bite. Saying "you people" bla bla bla... I'm not gonna trust some dogs around my kids. He looked at us like some damn animal. I've gotten to a level where I was clearly was going to fight. He decided to drive off. I am basing this on my experience. Not the Beach. It's lovely there and I'd go back. I live here and want to give it 5 stars because I think this beach would be beautiful if people didn’t leave their trash. The bin provided by the city overflows with garbage in the summer. So much so that the bin could be filled up twice. If any of these visitors pay for garbage service at home they KNOW that the only garbage that is picked up is what is in the bin. Guess who cleans up after them? The locals. And the locals have to PAY for taking that trash to the transfer station. Thank you to everyone that pack out what you pack in. August 2020, one of the hottest days of the year during social distancing with limited indoor opportunities, it looks like this is the place to be.
