My girlfriend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Six Sigma Ranch and Winery, a destination we eagerly anticipated as our first experience with Harvest Host. From the very beginning, the reservation process was a breeze, guided by a remarkably friendly staff member who gave us a concise and informative preview of what to expect during our visit.
Our journey to the ranch in my 32' RV was a peaceful one; Spruce Grove Rd, a charming, meandering county road, set the stage for the serene escape that awaited us. The final leg involved a 2-mile drive on a well-maintained dirt road, easily navigable in my Class C motorhome by maintaining a cautious speed.
Upon arrival, the warmth of the welcome we received from several winery personnel was genuinely refreshing. Check-in was conducted with utmost professionalism, and we were handed a detailed folder outlining all our stay essentials. We were then directed to the barn where we could choose any spot—we opted for spot #6, which offered a splendid view overlooking the winery.
The highlight of our visit was the deluxe wine tasting accompanied by a delightful charcuterie board, which we enjoyed on the winery’s porch. The staff's attentiveness made us feel special and added to the exceptional experience. As the day wound down, we purchased a few bottles of wine and retreated to our RV, soon finding ourselves enveloped in the tranquil solitude of the estate.
The evening brought a magical twist, with local wildlife appearing as we cooked dinner in the designated BBQ area at the winery. This added an enchanting element to our culinary experience under the stars. Please note that Verizon wireless service is spotty in this area, and the winery's WiFi does not reach the barn. Generators are prohibited from 10 PM to 8 AM, and no open flame campfires or cooking outside your RV are allowed.
For those who relish the quiet of the night and the sounds of crickets, this place is a slice of heaven. Six Sigma Ranch and Winery is not just a place but an experience that we eagerly anticipate reliving this fall. Whether you are a seasoned RV traveler or a Harvest Host newcomer, I recommend adding this destination to your...

I’ve been a member of Six Sigma Ranch and Winery for some time now, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with warm hospitality—Katelyn is always there with a smile, making you feel right at home. Kaj, the owner, is not only welcoming but also incredibly knowledgeable about the wines and the winery's rich history, and he’s always ready for a great conversation.
The winery is a wonderful destination for the entire family. We love bringing our kids along—there’s so much for them to enjoy, especially feeding the friendly pig, Topper! The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and the staff makes it clear that they’re committed to ensuring everyone has a great time, whether you're there for wine tasting, an event, or simply to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
One of the highlights for me is the Tempranillo—it’s absolutely outstanding. The rich flavors of this wine pair so perfectly with red meats, making it a must-try for anyone who loves a bold, full-bodied wine. The events are always well-curated, with expertly crafted wine pairings that really elevate the whole experience. Whether it’s a casual gathering or something more elaborate, they always seem to get it just right.
Katie, the winemaker, is also often at the events, and her passion for creating exceptional wines shines through in every bottle. You can tell the team at Six Sigma truly cares about creating memorable experiences for their guests. The entire experience—from the wine to the people and the atmosphere—keeps me coming back for more.
If you’re looking for a winery with amazing wine, a welcoming vibe, and fantastic events, Six Sigma Ranch and Winery is the place to be. I can’t wait for...
Read moreRide the Pinzgauer! Drink the wine! That's the best advice that I can give regarding this winery other than possibly suggesting that you bring your mountain bike or hiking shoes for an added treat. This was the second stop for us during our first visit to Lake County vineyards, and even after numerous trips over the years to the vineyards further south on Route 29, this was another delightful discovery. I signed us up for the Pinzgauer tour to shake things up, and it was more fun than I expected. One of the founder's sons drove us, and his knowledge of the property and well deserved pride were evident. We learned about their sustainable farming practices while climbing up the dirt road and stopped at the top to enjoy a delicious tasting while overlooking the vineyards and rolling mountain scenery. After the return ride, we sipped on several well done wines at a nice shady table. The founder stopped by our table later, and his commitment to quality and sustainability were clear, and also reflected in his son and all of the friendly employees that we met. The atmosphere was relaxed, and there was ample outdoor seating with a fairly high amount of shade available. There are numerous mountain biking and hiking trails on the property as well, so I hope to go back and sample that portion of the ranch before enjoying some more of their delicious wine afterwards. Overall, this was a place I would feel comfortable dressed for a high end tasting room or in some hiking clothes, and the wine and the overall vibe were...
