First visit and I accidentally drove into the department of defense or whatever is right next to this. Bear to your LEFT on the way in to avoid my mistake. Incredible birding. Great views of the lake. There's a kiosk with some neat info about the creation of the park. Parking is easy by the building. Walk to the kiosk then go through the turning cage-y gate thing, looks sketchy. I wish that wasn't there because it gives a weird feel to the entrance of the park. Once you're inside it's a big elevated loop with some cross paths. Very nice with some obvious management work being done for invasives. Edited to add: lots of deer- and pretty used to seeing people. We saw a few bedded down that didn't bother getting up. The whole park has fences/barriers around it. Walk on the path to the left around the side of building to find the kiosk and entrance.
