I did not know about these trails as long as I have lived around here (2 years in Conroe +25 years in Houston). They are a real treasure. In the last 3 weeks I have walked 15 miles of the 90+ miles offered. The trails offer a wonder look at nature while hiking, and great exercise that is pleasant and quiet. Read moreThis section is very wet. If it has rained recently I would wait a week before hiking this section. I have seen youtube videos where people were hiking through water up to their ankles the whole 4 mile section. As of Jan. 19th two bridges were out. Washed away by hurricane Harvey in 2017.
