This section is very wet. If it has rained recently I would wait a week before hiking this section. I have seen youtube videos where people were hiking through water up to their ankles the whole 4 mile section. As of Jan. 19th two bridges were out. Washed away by hurricane Harvey in 2017. They are visible in the pictures. Some are turned over and others have been lifted off their piers and washed up somewhere else. I hope the LSHT people fix these.

Great place to walk! The path is wide and has gravel. I don't know if they have a gun range near by but we heard lots of gunshots down this trail. Maybe a daily experience or maybe a one time thing. We all made it out safe but something to watch out for. Trail splits in different areas.

I enjoyed this trail. I went as far as this crossing. It was a nice little hike. The river is low b/c of drought and recent little bit of rain. Normally it's too high for my dog to swim right there. Was so happy it was. My puppy had a blast.

I did not know about these trails as long as I have lived around here (2 years in Conroe +25 years in Houston). They are a real treasure. In the last 3 weeks I have walked 15 miles of the 90+ miles offered. The trails offer a wonder look at nature while hiking, and great exercise that is pleasant and quiet. Creeks, bridges that are well maintained and well marked trails makenthis a Texas gem. Take note of the metal reflective markers on the trees and you will thoroughly...

Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and get some fresh air. Trail is well maintained and beautiful place to take a moment and relax, excercise, enjoy the splendor of nature and the beauty that is Texas. Texas Trails unite us all to our roots and places of interest and should be preserved for all to...
