Green Pastures Recreation Area — Attraction in Clifton Forge

Very quiet place, picnic areas with grills, a stream, and some trails. Also has a restroom (pit toilet) in the first parking area by the sign. Some of the park is closed off and appears to have been that way for quite a while as the main road beyond the gate is overgrown and the buildings are all locked up. Be aware trails are a bit overgrown (Sept 2023) and we came out with a lot of nymph ticks (read hundreds), both on ourselves and the dogs, leashed...
