While camping in Williamsport, we had the opportunity to visit this lovely winery. The property is gorgeous and the view of the back deck is exquisite. The owner was the one tending the bar both times we visited over the weekend. I loved getting to know her and chat with her about her winery, their wine process, and the story behind the name "Four Friends" and how they chose the photos for their wines. It was a heck of a story and it really solidified my 5-star review.
The owner even put up with us dragging our "non-wine" parents out the next day and putting up with our shenanigan's.
White, red, blend whatever. Every single wine was a 10/10. You could tell they take great care in their craft and loved sharing it with anyone that walked in the door.
We ended up taking quite a few bottles home both times we went. I could not recommend this place enough. Currently sipping on the Chardonnay while I write this review almost...
Read moreWe arrived to the winery by bus (although we did not have an appointment). We were greeted by the owner who immediately told us we should have made an appointment for a bus. I quickly explained that even though we arrived by bus there were only 11 of us. We went inside and again we were reminded that we should have made an appt for groups over 8. Point taken for future. We tasted the wines - which were mediocre at best - and went outside to listen to the band. Again, the owner came out to tell us that we had 5 minutes because the neighbors were complaining about the bus being parked outside. So, my question is, if we had made an appointment because we were arriving by bus, would we have been given a time frame anyway, because they can't accomodate parking for the bus. The positives of this otherwise non customer service event was that the place was gorgeous and had...
Read moreWe had an awful experience here. My husband and I arrived around 3:30p on a Sunday and received the bare minimum experience. It's a very small tasting room which was occupied by the server's friends. One woman at the bar was seated with her feet up on the next stool. We were in to try a tasting. The woman who was serving seemed annoyed that we were distracting her from friends. She did get us our tastings however zero interaction from her and zero information about the wines or winery. She would pour a glass then go right back to chatting socially with her friends. We enjoy going to wineries for the experience AND the taste. This was a very disappointing experience. We paid for our average tastings and left. We will not be returning, nor will we recommend this...
