David Hall Cabin — Attraction in Clinton

What a surprising gem. I noticed a small sign directing passerbys towards the cabin and cemetery, and decided to stop by late on a Friday evening after work. I was expecting to drive by and have a quick look. What I wasn't expecting was for the property owner to come out and meet me and offer a private tour of the residence, complete with fantastic stories about the history of the home and stagecoach road. I had a wonderful time at the David Hall Cabin photographing The Living History Days. There were numerous reenactors, along with black smithing, soap making and so much more. Libby Bumgardner the owner has really done a great job of maintaining the cabins and property and is just a joy to visit with. I would recommend the David Hall Cabin to anyone. Great. A family is taking care of this old beauty. As I started walking around, a gentleman apprached me and gave me a wonderful tour. His wife's grandpa bought this lot where the cabin was sitting originally and for love to history, he and his family take care of this location free of charge. So, the next time you visit, please make your contribution, I mean, deposit some bucks in a bottle that reads "tips."
