Second time here in the past 5 years. My brother's name is on the Iraqi wall (PFC Kevin C Ott). Our dad passed away earlier this month and I wanted to go here to visit again, as I know it was a place he liked. It is the only memorial that I know of that has both the Gold Star Mother AND the Gold Star Father statues. As a Gold Star Sister, I want to thank you for this beautiful memorial to honor our lost, but not forgotten heroes! A must for this visit is to go in the building and look up at the ceiling of dog tags. Seeing that many hanging there is very powerful (unfortunately the building closed at 4:30 on this visit). The memorial is 24 hours, but evidently that building isn't....just for future reference if someone is planning a visit.

The men & women who have worked to out this memorial together - should be acknowledged & appreciated! What a beautiful place to honor our loved ones who we have lost in Vietnam & other Wars. They are constantly adding renovating and working hard to show their dedication & support to our lost soldiers. I am so glad we stopped yesterday, walked the area, & met two of the men who run the facility. They were beyond excited to tell us stories of their time in war, & stories of how hard they've worked on this memorial! Please visit here, you will be so glad that you did.πΊπ²

I visited here back in December of 2023. The mood here was somber but relaxing. I was the only one here on a cold weekend day but spent about an hour going around and reading the story of many soldiers from Ohio throughout various wars. The marble walls and memorials were gorgeous. Everything seemed so shiny and new. Old military vehicles turned into art pieces was a cool touch to the park also. The everlasting flame was gorgeous against the marble background and marble-like stillwater it was surrounded by

I have yet to see the memorial in anything other than pristine condition. It is well lit when it is dark and most stunning at dawn. There is also a small gathering hall that can be reserved for a fee (check OVMP's website for specifics). Note: there is no public bathroom except for a spring-fall port-a-potty. Also, if you're unaware of what Clinton is, there are no gas stations or places with public bathrooms.

An amazing tribute to the men and women who fought valiantly in all wars and those who died in action. The park has a father and mother Gold Star statue, POW memorial section, numerous dedication granite benches to family and friends killed in action. Full sized military air and ground vehicles, etc.. This is a special place honoring our service men and women and worth the drive.

A MUST see for veterans and their family's.. and everyone else. The new building is really impressive too. They have a cross on the ceiling filled with thousands of dog tags. Has a good thought provoking impact. There is a wall here with thousands of names of fallen soldiers as well as a pond with a forever burning torch for POW's and MIA.
