Second time here in the past 5 years. My brother's name is on the Iraqi wall (PFC Kevin C Ott). Our dad passed away earlier this month and I wanted to go here to visit again, as I know it was a place he liked. It is the only memorial that I know of that has both the Gold Star Mother AND the Gold Star Father statues. As a Gold Star Sister, I want to thank you for this beautiful memorial to honor our lost, but not forgotten heroes! A must for this visit is to go in the building and look up at the ceiling of dog tags. Seeing that many hanging there is very powerful (unfortunately the building closed at 4:30 on this visit). The memorial is 24 hours, but evidently that building isn't....just for future reference if someone is...

This place is just a wonderful way to teach younger kids about the role Ohio veterans have played in all of the wars that our country has been involved in. This was the first time my 9 & 7 yr old grandkids have been to a monument. They found it interesting and they learned how to be respectful of the atmosphere and the monument itself. Those involved with upkeep and preservation of this beautiful place are doing a great job! If you haven't been here, you really don't know what you are missing! A true American experience! Just a touching place to express Thanks to our amazing veterans. God Bless all of...

The Ohio Veterans Memorial Park is a relatively unknown gem in northeastern Ohio. It is open 24/7. My family and I have visited it shortly after midnight on Memorial Day for the past two years. It is an inspiring and reflective visit. The displays and memorials are well lit, but the backdrop of the dark night sky rivets your attention on the displays and memorials themselves. The visit begins with a drive around the memorial before parking, followed by a walk through the park. Signs to the park from State Route 21 can be a bit tricky to follow but Clinton is not a big town and the memorial is...

The men & women who have worked to out this memorial together - should be acknowledged & appreciated! What a beautiful place to honor our loved ones who we have lost in Vietnam & other Wars. They are constantly adding renovating and working hard to show their dedication & support to our lost soldiers. I am so glad we stopped yesterday, walked the area, & met two of the men who run the facility. They were beyond excited to tell us stories of their time in war, & stories of how hard they've worked on this memorial! Please visit here, you will be so glad that you did.πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²

I visited here back in December of 2023. The mood here was somber but relaxing. I was the only one here on a cold weekend day but spent about an hour going around and reading the story of many soldiers from Ohio throughout various wars. The marble walls and memorials were gorgeous. Everything seemed so shiny and new. Old military vehicles turned into art pieces was a cool touch to the park also. The everlasting flame was gorgeous against the marble background and marble-like stillwater it was surrounded by
