The Red Barn at Devine Acres — Attraction in Clinton

While the venue is a beautiful barn, the owner (specifically the elderly male) leaves much to be desired in the ways of privacy and decency. No amount of well groomed yard space can make up for the memories of having to hear of the “loads and loads of naked women” the owner had traveled with in the RV on site. All the appropriate lighting in the world cannot erase the countless times I witnessed said owner being rude to the bride and groom. From following the bride to the RV and trying to enter even though he was told multiple times that she was changing, to making the bride and groom clean up the venue (which was not a mess but he made them remove their decorations) hours before the time that they had paid to have it until, to awkwardly staring at guests (specially young women) as they tried to enjoy the dance floor and hovering during the entire event; the owner of this venue most likely deserves to be on some sort of FBI watch list. Bride and groom to be, please for the sake of yourselves, for the sake of your wedding party, for the sake of your guests…I promise there are way better places available...

Attended a wedding here of my dear friends. It was raining out and the roof has damage that’s not been repaired, so we were getting rained on while inside the barn. Witness a male working here who was harassing the bride and groom, to the point where they weren’t able to enjoy their own wedding. Attended a wedding a year ago here and same male was walking around the wedding, not to make sure everything was okay but to join in conversation as if he was a guest invited. The owners let their dogs (one of which tried to nip at a kid) in the barn during the wedding.. and the poop everywhere, that should have been cleaned up. They also were not very respectful of Privacy, I understand you own the place but never have I been to a wedding where the owners walked around like they were a part of it, including some of their own family in and out of the barn while also making comments about "What a mess, that's going to take me forever to clean."
