Lake Sonoma — Attraction in Cloverdale

Lake Sonoma is a fairly new Lake. The dam was built 40 years ago and Lake was filled by rain and other contributaries. If you water ski be careful of trees that are underwater especially in a drought season where the Treetops can be seen coming out of the water. There are miles and miles of different coves and waterways to explore. This is a good Lake for boating, fishing, skiing, wakeboarding or tubing. Nice lake. The walk down at the boat ramp is vicious as you’re walking back to the car after drop in/out. You need to stop by the visitors center to have your watercraft inspected, which we didn’t know until we got to the nice lady at the gate. Being as we just had a kayak and paddle board, she let us go without the pass. Just make sure to do that and you’re good to go. We were paddle boarding, so every now and then there were these little spiders that would crawl on us from the water....

Been going to this lake sense I could walk it’s truly beautiful and peaceful clean everywhere it’s my favorite place in the world to go with my family and friends or by myself.
