Have you been looking for a park geared towards 5 & under? Look no further, Cherry Hill Park is PERFECT for any toddler. Especially if they love firefighters and police officers. 👩‍🚒👮

The park is situated behind Coeur d’Alene Fire Station 3. The main structure resembles a red fireman’s helmet that the kids can play in and use the slide from inside. There are multiple car type vehicles 🚔 that represent first responders. However, there is no swings and the park has bark. Plus side, the whole park is enclosed with a fence.

Located within the park grounds (outside the play structure area) is the Fallen Hero plaza, a BMX race track, 18-hold disc golf course, tennis and pickle ball courts, basketball, dog park, large grass area and a forest to explore. In the winter the large grassy hill turns into the city’s sledding zone!

🇺🇸Facts: Cherry Hill park, also known as The 9/11 Memorial playground, and Fallen Heroes Plaza was dedicated on September 11, 2009. “It’s a place to reflect on the sacrifices of others, where fallen heroes will be remembered and future generations will gather to learn under a promise to “never forget.” -Jacob Livingston.

Thank you to all the first responders for their sacrifices, and dedication to the city. We appreciate you!

This review is mainly about the playground, not the park as a whole. The playground is unique in design and has potential but it’s broken down and doesn’t have much for kids to do. Another play structure or two would be nice, or perhaps swings. This playground is pretty big but empty. The main fire hat structure is cool but it’s kind of a glorified empty gazebo. There’s nothing inside for kids to do and the slide is broken. Overall, it was fun for a few minutes but it didn’t entertain my kids for very long. Fun(ish) for toddlers tho!

The park also includes a nice, well-maintained dog park, a large disc golf course, a BMX area, tennis courts, a law enforcement memorial, a beautiful 9/11 memorial, and is in a beautiful location. So for adults with dogs, this place is...

To many people... My girls are 6 and 3 and almost got plowed over by people and plowed into people that walked up the hill in the middle of the people sledding .. When your going that fast and that little they don't know how to steer or stop themselves to not hit people that dont understand the way sleeding goes.. Need to teach the right way to walk up the hill on the sides not in the middle of the freaking hill... Plus standing at the very bottom is very dangerous especially for the people that are sledding down the hill.. The bigger kids have no respect towards littles and are very Reckless their parents don't even tell them to be careful they just let them do whatever... I live fairly close to cherry hill and love going but don't get to go very much due the...

We do not live in Coeur d'Alene but every time we are there we make sure we stopped off at Cherry Hill Park to visit the dog park. Our puppy absolutely loves it! There is a section for smaller dogs and there is an area for larger dogs. The main area is really spacious. I would say the only thing I have noticed is that owners with multiple dogs don't always watch all their animals.
