Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here once years ago and found lots of goodies for fair prices. Iām not sure what changed, or if itās just my priorities and expectations as a shopper have changed but I came here with my baby to parooz. While looking there were employees coming in and out of the back and yelling - literally yelling at other employees then disappearing back into the back. I was appalled that they were yelling, seemed weird and inappropriate to treat each other that way especially in front of customers but š¤·āāļø
Well my baby peed and needed a diaper change and so I looked around and saw no restroom so I checked the fitting room and there was no where to lay my baby down to change them. So I asked at the front if they had a restroom I could change my babyās diaper in. One lady seemed hesitant but said no. Then a voice from under the counter very rudely snapped to do it in the fitting room because thereās no bathroom so I stated there isnāt a bench or anything to change baby on and they snapped very angrily and irritated that I can just lay them on the floor. Like Iām going to lay my baby on the stained carpets, no thank you. The angry lady then snapped that they donāt even have a restroom AT ALL (which Iām pretty sure is illegal, OSHA requires a bathroom for employees even if itās not for public use).
Honestly the staff was rude and snarky. Itās not hard to use inside kind voices and also to just say āno public restroom Iām sorryā. Maybe all their staff were having an off or bad day but I didnāt appreciate it as someone who came in to spend money. I donāt think Iāll return to shop here. It looked like it was decently organized and they had tons of clothes if thatās what youāre looking for and donāt have to bring your kids or babies along with you, it might be a better...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been shopping at city thrift for a few years now and it has been my all time favorite thrift store. Recently, Iāve noticed theyāve rearranged the salesfloor to have more items/product out, which is great! But I have to agree with the other reviews that pricing is getting jacked up. I was in this location yesterday looking at VHS tapes for my collection. It made me extremely sad they had nearly all of their tapes priced at $4.99. The lowest was $2.99. Literally anywhere else you go, VHS tapes are .50 cents to $1. Entertainmart sells their VHS tapes for .99 cents. Their Disney clamshells are $2.99, which is understandable. St. Vincent de Paul sells theirs for .50 cents. You get the point.. I was pretty disappointed in city thrifts new pricing decision(s). The majority of their $4.99 VHS tapes are NOT worth $4.99. Using eBay as a source, turning on the āsoldā option, the VHS tapes city thrift had overpriced are way less on eBay. Something to consider, city...
