Fort Sherman Playground — Attraction in Coeur d'Alene

Amazing park for the whole family! Great location to the CDA resort, McEwen park, downtown shops and stores, and lake Coeur d'Alene and the lake beach. Fort Sherman has an amazing playground that both children and adults can enjoy together. Whether you want to ride your bike around the park and beach, walk your dog through the grass and large trees surrounding the lake, or playing tag in the wood built playground, you can certainly spend hours playing here. The smaller kids playground, the larger playground and the swings are designed for families in mind. Highly recommend! This is the favorite playing place of my young kids that I care for. It is well equipped and has some ingenious opportunities for kids of all ages to increase their coordination and timing skills, as well as blowing off their excess steam. And there is always the excitement for other kids to become friends. I have never seen meanness or unkindness, and there are no "strangers" among the kids...there seems to be an easy blending. Oh my...what a wonderful playground for kids situated in the middle of the downtown Coeur d'Alene City Park! It's really a mini fort! Children's imaginations know no bounds here. It's well shaded and has plenty of seating for adult supervision. The bandshell is nearby, and when there are concerts in the park, you can easily hear the music.
