Silver Lake Mall — Attraction in Coeur d'Alene

I liked the sunglasses kiosk and the wooden Indian in the cigar store. I think there was a hat store, but that was way before Lidz was the place to get a baseball cap. I’ve only been to a Lidz in New York City , actually all I remember was seeing a Yankees hat. It could’ve been in Honolulu, but not the year I got a jaywalking ticket. Silver lake mall is the one by target and ben Franklin in C’DA I think. Or is it the one in Spokane Valley? When I moved here Spokane valley was just that, the valley in Spokane until it incorporated march 30th, 2003. It’s been 22 years since I went to the silver lake mall. I’m sure that there’s still some stores in there, probably no arcade though I bet. Everybody is too busy playing pokey man go or some other 9antic game. There’s probably still Marcy’s . Wowee, I was surprised to find out that the local (and only) mall I throughly enjoyed shopping at for my family-Macy's JC Penny's, even Pay Less Shoes, amoungest a myriad of the other little speciality shops, are either replaced, or transformed in to mostly Black Sheep inventory. Not being critical of Black Sheep at all-its a very popular and much appreciated retail store for the local outdoor enthusiasts! I guess I wasn't prepared for the shock of how different my once go-to place for my kiddos to shop, see Santa, rider the goofy cars etc... Oh well I'm a tad middle aged hand nostalgic Lol. My friend wanted to take me to lunch at one of the food court restraunts and pick up something at Black Sheep. We ended up not eating lunch at the food court area because two out of the three places serving food...

First lets consider this isnt a major mall by any extreme, it is small and there seems to be more empty store spaces then the very few that are up and doing business. The good about it is, as long as your dog is on a leash you can visit the mall area and what i experienced was the stores that are open allow them in there also (J C PENNY Allowed), I was in on a Tuesday and the mall was empty, how empty you ask lets say 3 total i could see and that included my pup and myself and a employee walking about..i will say the mall was very clean and not worn down like some..the downside was the business that sold cigars, yuck..... you could smell the sicking odor upon entering the mall area....not much else to review other then least there is a...
