I moved from Utah to Coeur d'Alene and going from having a soda shop on every corner to not having one close by was tough. So, when Soda Love opened, I was beyond excited! I started going right away and over time, became a regular. During this time, I grew to love one of the employees, Kahlie. She quickly became my go to girl. She remembers my drink and always makes it perfectly. Her bubbly personality brightens my day, and she never fails to make me smile.
When they opened a shop in Post Falls, I was thrilled, but unfortunately, I had some not so great experiences with a few of the employees there. At the time, I was newly postpartum and struggling to get out of the house, so I'd make quick trips to Soda Love to get out, even if just for 20 minutes. Sadly, I had to stop going to the Post Falls location due to how I was made to feel. However, I always made the effort to drive to the Coeur d'Alene location to see Kahlie and get my favorite drink.
Additionally, Emily at the Coeur d'Alene location has always been so kind every time I come through the line. She also remembers my drink and is genuinely kind, which makes a big difference!
Management, if you’re reading this, please recognize Kahlie and Emily for their outstanding work. I want to share one special experience that really touched my heart. I was newly discharged from the hospital after an urgent C-section, leaving my son in the NICU. I was heartbroken, and I asked my husband to take me to Soda Love. Kahlie was there, and her kindness and support made such a difference during such a difficult time. She really knows how to make you feel seen, not just as a customer, but as a person. Her simple act of kindness helped lighten an incredibly hard moment for me.
Thank you, Kahlie and Emily, for always making my day brighter and for going above and beyond. I...
Read moreI have loved this place for a long time. I live in spirit Lake and had to go into town and drove away away just to come here. There were five cars in front of me and I waited over 30 minutes. Ordered my normal drink and it was pure syrup. I ordered a Dr Pepper peach love or whatever it’s called and it was primarily ice and I was literally sipping pure syrup. I ordered a 44 ounce and there was hardly any Dr Pepper in it. Not to mention that I couldn’t go back and have her fix it because there were so many cars behind me. Felt like a waste of time, a waste of money and There’s just no way that someone was trained to put that much syrup in a drink. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that there was probably 20 pumps of syrup and peach filling in there. The whole drink was a waste. Not to mention, that it took way too long for her to make one drink. Maybe she’s new and I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt but it took her almost 5 minutes just to make a Dr Pepper with peach syrup, Cream, vanilla, and some limes. It should’ve been pretty quick to make so I’m not sure what was going on, but something seems very awful for her to think that that much syrup in a drink would...
Read moreAs someone who grew up in the soda shop capital of the world, Utah I can be a little picky when it comes to soda shops and sodalove did not disappoint. My husband and I LOVED the different add in options sodalove provided. Specifically the peach puree and fresh mint which you can’t find at every run of the mill soda stand.
It has a cute drive up window with young but super nice workers. I ordered a custom soda of sprite with fresh mint, fresh lime, and pomegranate syrup. While my husband ordered a peachy kiss. Both very good but we were taken a back just a bit with the amount of syrup used in the drinks. They definitely go heavy handed here so if you don’t want your drink tooth achingly sweet maybe ask them to do half the amount.
Otherwise very good especially if you are trying to get...
