Horrible experience!! Shame on Kroc. CANNOT believe Salvation Army would stand by something like this! I cannot believe there is a church there.. who is it run by? Lucifer? I signed up my Family after I was give a tour by a nice young man who talked about how none of there machines were over 3 years old (and how all the gyms around town bought there old machines while they got the latest models). The facility looked great for first impressions for my young family of 4 (son 3 years old and daughter 6) I was told this facility was a month to month pay and cancel anytime with a $75 one time fee. Sounds good right? something that the whole family could enjoy. So I signed up for the gold membership and decided to give it a try that same evening but as soon as I tried to use the little kid area I was told it was closed for daycare.. ok? I was never told that before I signed up. No one told me about how little hours it is open to the public!! So what are we paying for?.. my 3 or 6 year old can’t weight lift, use the gym, or any of the excercise equipment! I immediately approached the front desk where I signed up and asked for a cancellation n was told 20 min after I had signed up that it was none refundable so they took the admission fee and the month and a half of payment total $191. WOW now I see the scam! Or does this facility justify it as a tithe! Once I told my husband about the above he was just as frustrated with it but encouraged me to try it again tomorrow, which I did since he had the day off. So we came today to use the little swimming pool that no one else was using next to the hot tub in the clove area. But we were immediately approached by lifeguard who said it was closed. My kids were so excited for hours this morning looking to go there… Lifegaurd told us we can use the hot tub...Wow that’s really safe for three and a six-year-old hot temperature water!! At this point my response was so what is open at two in the afternoon for my children to use.. My frustration grew more and more at this point I was approached by a young man out of the office who also had red pair shorts on who basically told me he understood my frustration and sympathized with me by telling me that the Kroc center was just recently under new Management who “are doing some pretty weird changes that no one was happy about including employees. “ Out Of frustration I blurted to him that had I known that I would’ve signed up at the YMCA! To which he replied “As an employee here I recommend the YMCA.” Wow are you kidding me! I wish he had given us the tour yesterday maybe we wouldn’t have been deceived Into buying their membership. After this interaction I went to the front desk who obviously do not care about customer service. Didn’t care to listen to me and when I suggested to go into the board directors meetings that was happening at the same time they got me the manager Beth and her protégé Dale. They didn’t like me raising my voice and expressing my concerns at the front desk’s as others may over hear and not buy their false membership! So this was my less than 18 hour long membership with Salvation Army Croc Center and words can’t explain how disgusted I am with this organization! Here’s my suggestion to you crock employees owners whoever you are.. rename your center to Senior Croc center because that’s basically what it is...it caters to the elderly from putting the handicap front row parking with 20 plus spots that you have out there to the hours you’re facilities are even able to be used. This is not a family center!! Don’t advertise it as such! That’s false advertisement! And if you calll yourselves Christian organization put some focus on families.. young families.. for the numbers of broken families are astronomical...

It is absolutely frustrating the lack of accurate information given for their swim times. This whole past year it's been increasingly worse. I am so overwhelmed every day with work, homeschool, Dr/therapy appointments for my children and just normal mom/wife duties. I try so hard to schedule out a few hours here and there to do something fun with my 2 kids.

I look at my physical calendar, then remember it's always unreliable as we've showed up ready to swim only to discover they just closed access to kids and are doing some adults only exercise or lessons or sensory swim. So I look at my digital downloaded schedule and check it against the website which I'm always told when we arrive and my kids are upset they can't actually swim, that it is always accurate online and updated daily...well no. No it's not.

Being that they are 10 years apart, it's hard enough making sure to time the swimming schedules to where they each have age appropriate fun, but inevitably the rare occasion that we do get accurate information, my oldest has to sit out while the little one gets his toddler swim in then when it's his turn to be welcomed into the pool, the slide is generally not operating due to whatever reason that day presents.

I'm not the only one that has this issue for the fact that so many times when I'm here and frustrated about my kids' disappointment, an employee will comment too me that "allot of people have been complaining about that too". This is not new...its just becoming more of a normalcy. They make public statements about the schedules without an apology and only undertones of admittance of an actual issue dismissed with a pitiful inability to accept accountability and instead projecting blame on their members stating "We know that the aquatics and pool schedules in particular are difficult to read, and we are actively working on an alternative solution". No. They are not difficult to read. We can read them just fine. They are just massively inaccurate.

On top of that, when I call and talk to an employee, I'm given different information every time. Not just with swim schedules, but this whole new pricing structure also. After emails go out to everyone about the upcoming changes, they can't actually give any information on what the prices are going to change to for several weeks. Then they give out vague information but assure us that they are "actually going to save you a little money" and the price will "go down just a little if not stay the same even with childcare added". Then after it's past the date to be able to cancel before December's auto withdrawal, suddenly it's actually going to be higher. When I called a few weeks ago, the employee wouldn't even pull up my account to be able to answer my question about the new price. Seriously. She just have me an estimate....

15 years ago this place was the best place to be. Even 5 years ago it was still worth being a member. It's grown so much member wise, you'd think they would consider expanding or something. There's so many homeschool families during the day too that if you don't get here early enough for childcare, you're stuck waiting an hour or longer.

I'm just so disappointed with the quality of customer service and information given to us members on top of the ones running the show refusing to acknowledge their problems and turn it around on the...

I paid a year in advance for a family membership- I was a member 1 week and the facility terminated my membership because my children (11 and 14) were “horse playing” in the pool- The Cove. When I asked specifics I was told they were touching each other, running up the ladder to the slide and ‘bear hugging’ and doing summer saults under water. My kids have never done summer saults in the water! I was told by a lifeguard on Saturday that o couldn’t do any water exercises- I was barked at by the same lifeguard (obese female with brown hair) that the float isn’t allowed to touch the side of the pool - This same lifeguard watched me for the 30 minutes I was there, instead of talking to parents of young children that didn’t have swim diapers on (this is in the rules that are posted) or asking the two ladies to leave that were in the pool in their street clothes (it also states in the rules that you must wear proper swim attire). The lifeguards are very aggressive power hungry teens with no personal skills to communicate. They nit pick everything that you do on the water - when I asked if my children disrupted other patrons enjoyment I was told No; when I asked if either of my children appeared to be in distress because they were touching each other or hugging in the water, I was told No; when I asked if they were fighting, I was told No. I asked to see the video and I was told No; I asked for a copy of the complaints against my children and O was told I wasn’t entitled to it. My card has been fully refunded even though the website says no refunds; and I believe this was done because they know they had no valid reason for termination of my membership (Skip agreed with me that these things weren’t Horseplay as did Gary and Dale on Wednesday when my kids told them what was going on) - This basically comes down to Gary and Dale having hurt feelings that they couldn’t bully my children into giving their names when my kids asked why and what did they do wrong- Gary and Dale are upset that my husband asked them questions they couldn’t answer and therefore they don’t want to face me or my family. I was told I could come back in a year - Are you kidding? I wouldn’t come Back in my membership was FREE! This is not a Christian facility - this is a facility that has no problem calling paying customers LIARS, and not proving allegations - they refunded me because they knew I would get an attorney and have the tape subpoena and they had nothing! Originally I was told to go home and come back to the gym - I told them that if there wasn’t anything on the tape then I wanted them to apologize to my kids - I feel they pulled their tape, were embarrassed to see there was nothing there to validate detaining my kids (they tried to leave and were told they couldn’t leave without giving their names) or accusing them of horseplay and because of that it was easier to terminate and refund my money!

I will be calling an attorney to see what...
