I don't normally tip, but the guides were so personal and helpful, so I did. The longest zip line is 1600 ft and there are 7 ziplines, so if this is your first time then you have time to get comfortable with it before the big 1600 ft. The views are definitely worth it. We even saw a deer. The company sells cell phone holders so you can take a video of the experience going down. They are $10, but my husband and I traded off pics of us because our reactions are priceless, but the views could be too. Our son is seven years old and did the ziplines all by himself. He is so brave. He asked the lady at the counter about safety and made her day by saying "I care about safety, nature and God" She was very reassuring to both of us about the actual dangers of ziplining. She basically said you are more likely to trip and fall on the mountain than you are to hurt yourself on the platforms, bridges or when you are ziplining. The guides know the platforms and ziplines so well they showed off which looked fun, but I was brave enough to do a rocket launch while they had just toes on the platform or did flips and high fives when they...
Read moreJuly 2023 This was our second time zipping with Timberline. The staff make the experience safe, first-off, and also fun. (Our tour guides were Nate and Lee.)
Here’s what to expect for the 7-Zipline Tour:
Check-in on time (30min before your scheduled time) to get the waiver signed, proper gear, and to get extra items in a locker (keys, wallet, hats). This is also a great time to use the bathroom again.
Next you load up in the van towards Higgins Point, up a gravel road where you unload your gear on mats. (There is a bathroom and water at this starting point.)
Then you get an ATV ride up to the first zipline.
The first line is shorter so you can get acclimated to the experience and from there on you have longer or steeper lines until the last one being the FASTEST!
Extra Fun: there are two bridges to cross which are so fun! And there are two belays where you are lowered to the ground from the tree platform. (Your chance for a spider man upside down moment).
Timberline is a great experience, has beautiful views, great staff, and makes for fun with families,...
Read moreTimberline adventure offers a thrilling experience while also ensuring the utmost safety and care of their customers. We had the pure joy of the 7 line zip tour this past weekend with our guides Riley and Tony. These guys were incredibly funny, knowledgeable about their surroundings and made everyone feel safe while gliding 100 feet in the tree lines through the mountains. Riley and Tony were very personable and made the experience enjoyable while also giving interest history lessons of the area. It’s very apparent how much they love what they do. The scenery is absolutely stunning in Beauty Bay. The tour offers multiple viewpoints of Couer D’Alene lake and the surrounding areas. By the end of the course, you find yourself making new friends with others in the groups and by far wanting to do more zipping. This tour was a little over 3 hours start to finish. I can see how they would book up so fast. I highly recommend planning in advance. We will be back to try the s’mores zip line adventure. This is well worth the money for the experience and pure joy of...
