I've been hiking and swimming and climbing and meditating on Tubbs Hill since 1999. The Hill is a sacred and spiritual place. Seeking Sanctuary, I often find new vistas to experience and new paths to explore. Recently, I returned after 2 years to find more houses have been built in the hill. This is part and parcel of the uglification of Coeur d'Alene. Industrial architecture and a Gestapo-like police presence has made this town uncomfortable. I can still find some nice lake views, but there is no more Sanctuary here.... The tourists who once enjoyed our beautiful summers with us, then return to their own homes, have moved in and changed the entire paradigm... true...
Read moreIt was amazing, but I'm very tired. A few trails for everyone 😁, we chose the loop trail, the whole trail was up or down, but the views were fantastic. We took many photos, nature is beautiful. There were many small and large rocks, bridges, the trail led among conifers but sometimes you walked in the sun without a bit of shade 😁. Then had a beer at the lake side cafe. We then went back on the hiking trail and chose a spot along the shore. Did some sun bathing, swimming and rock jumping.
