Great dog park. There is a VERY large grass area for the 30lb+ dogs, and a smaller but considerable sized grass area for the small dogs. There are benches in the small dog area, although not often much shade. In the large dog area there is a wide shady tree with woodchips underneath, water bowls, picnic tables and plastic chairs. The back field of that area has a platform ramp and some plastic tubes. There are plenty of plastic bags and trash cans available, but no water spigot so bring your own jug. Usual dog park rules -- pick up your dog's poop, don't stay before/after dark, no more than 3 dogs per person. Around the side of the fence is a path that leads to the Colchester Spur of the Airline Trail. Walk your dog along the left side of the fence and down the built-in steps for a nice flat trail walk, and then come back and relax in the shade of the tree while your dog socializes. I’ve never had an issue with my dog here, however I’ve seen big (big) dogs duke it out. The owner of the instigating dog usually leaves or moves to the smaller dog area as a courtesy.
