Leach Teaching Gardens — Attraction in College Station

The morning spent visiting the Leach Teaching Gardens was very amazing, and the best part is the gardens were set up so that you and I, common folks can replicate gardens in our own backyards. Your garden does not have to be big, it just needs to be present! Each garden is set up as a separate teachable moment so a visitor can take in as much or as little as they wish. I highly recommend. PARKING IS TERRIBLE!!!! I love this place, but the parking situation makes it hardly worth it. I have driven around for 30 minutes to find a parking space when school is in session. This summer, I was visiting with my grandmother and 3 year old son and the parking lot was EMPTY except for our vehicle which was in a timed parking space. This is a hidden gem located inside the university. Lots of space to sit and enjoy the fresh air in the gardens. It's an excellent site to have a picnic. There are multiple areas to get that perfect photo for people wanting to have a photoshoot.
