Beautiful water, good fishing, but very poor management, we wont be back simply due to the rude and super unfriendly staff. The first night one inspector was swearing at campers, and threatening to “call the sheriff” instead of simply asking to stop playing music; no warning, no escalation, just curses and threats. The second night the sheriff came because that same inspector was drunk and speeding his vehicle through the campgrounds, causing a scene till midnight. When we pulled our boat and gave the “have a great day,” another inspector just completely ignored us. Then on the way home we noticed another (senior) guy writing down our plates, so we backed up, then he got in his car and tried to drive away, but we stopped him and he very rudely told us that we were breaking rules all weekend. No warnings, no escalation, no conflict resolution, just piss poor management by low functioning adolescent minded jerks. Every camper agreed these guys ruined...
Read moreI’ve been camping here in my RV several times and the views are ridiculous! I hear it gets crowded in the summer but in the off months you may be the only one around. My dog enjoyed walks/hikes around the reservoir and there have been a lot of ice fishermen almost daily. Yep - the winds can be a bit crazy but all part of the adventure! 😁

Read moreI have stayed at half a dozen RV parks in Colorado, mostly state owned with full hookups. I stayed at Garden of the gods. But I found out about Antero, and was surprised to hear it was free. I expected the worse. However, once I got here, it is without a doubt, the nicest park I visited. Lots of space between gravel pads. Convenient and plentiful toilets and trash containers.
