My wife and I had a fantastic day at Cuchara. We skinned up to the top of the mountain park twice before venturing up to the top of the old resort in the national forest. Conditions in the upper mountain were variable, though skiable, while the mountain park had excellent groomers thanks to their team of cat drivers and snowmakers. While we were skinning up, they do have the ski bus that services the old lift and it appears to be a fun + convenient way up the mountain. They even have a small terrain park for those interested.
