Its no longer the "nature center" that I grew up playing at. The reptile center burned down years ago and never replaced it. The log playground is gone. The raptor Center was the best part to take my son but it was deplorable structures that really frustrated me because of the great work they do. Unfortunately they are funded only by donations and all employees are volunteers with probably the exception of one vet/biologist to aid in recovery. It just could be a much nicer looking place for locals and tourists alike. Look what the city has done with the riverwalk. Why cant we fund such a special place that was so great for so many kids for many years. Now there's really not much there but a few picnic tables, a restraunt that is barely ever open, a dock / deck over the river and the nature trail. I hate giving it a low rating but I'm very disappointed in what it actually offers nowadays. Perhaps there is a plan...

This was my first time here, and they did an excellent presentation for a birthday party I was attending. They were very thorough about the birds that they rehabilitate, what to do in case you come upon an injured bird of prey And we even got a personal tour behind the scenes where they keep the birds. The birds are very well cared for they all have their own cages and we got to witness the birds get cooled off since it's the middle of summer. We had a picnic lunch before the presentation, and the grounds themselves seem to be very well taken care of. This is a...

I love this spot. Easy parking, easy access to the river, plenty of open space for kids to run and play, a nice deck over the water, clean public restrooms, and a surprisingly nice walking trail right in the middle of Pueblo.

I am usually here to fly fish the Arkansas tailwater, but I've been inside the Discovery Center a few times, including with my kids. It isn't fancy or huge, but they run some interesting programs, and I always appreciate nonprofits that help families explore the outdoors close to home.

Definitely...

Fantastic place, the guides are incredibly knowledgeable and will answer any and all questions at great lengths. We went as a field trip and had terrible weather, but the rangers made the best of it for us and made the day memory-worthy for my students. It is a beautiful campus, wonderful trails and beautiful sights.

Great time fishing but didnt catch anything, very calm and pleasant, you can also swim here but you do need life jacket as well for wading but the water was too strong today didnt want to get taken away, theres alot of webs and trash in certain parts of dock and you do need to pay $5 everytime but it's worth it
