Pathfinder Park — Attraction in Colorado

100% NOT open 24 hrs a day. It's may, 11 at 8pm and the gates beenclosed all day(I started checking at 6am) The boat ramp, pond, trail, 2nd parking lot, and the main river access points are all behind a yellow, locked gate with"closed to public" in a giant metal sign. There's signs with hours posted but per the Fremont county standard there's no hours in the blanks for the hrs. Seems this place is much the the rest of the government in this county.......take our money, advertise access and being "for the public"......but always protected and hidden behind closed gates while doing whatever they please. Wish I could have a refund on my money Fer this place..............sure do miss the...

One of our favorite places to stop and play while in the Florence/Cañon City area. Great big open soccer fields - most find this a great place to play with their pups (poop bags available)! Playground equipment is nice and located next to a very well kept pavilion (reservations available). Extensive parking, and decent restrooms are on site. This park has been well maintained!

By far our favorite feature - the many winding walking trails through groves of trees along the Arkansas River! (Mind the many cacti off trail, especially with your dogs or children). You'll find well-placed benches, picnic tables, and trash bins along the trails as well.

We take advantage of all of the above...

Pathfinder Event Center offered an affordable, large space for our wedding reception! We appreciated how the staff were friendly and willing to help however they could. They allowed us plenty of time for set up and tear down and offered us great options for hanging lights and allowed us to have candles with open flame! The overhead garage door at the far end of the building allowed for a beautiful send off with lights from the reception in the background. We have had many church events here since and continue to appreciate this facility and the staff...
