South Fork Spring Cave Trail is a scenic hike up to a cave. There are some additional trails you can take around the cave as well. The trail to the cave has steep inclines, but the trail is well maintained and heavily used. There is paid camping and a vaulted restroom at the start of the trail. The trail that follows upstream of the White River is also beautiful. Information on the South Fork Springs Cave: Length : 0.6 miles. Latitude : 39.864075. Longitude : -107.533552. Elevation : 7600' - 8012' Bears are in the area. Trails are dog friendly. Have fun! Spring Cave #1834

A local favorite. Both tight squeezes & large caverns, ropes & ladders. There is always water inside at some point & you'll need to crawl at points so long pants & sleeves are recommended. Bring lights for sure. Have fun & be safe, it is amazing in there but not for the claustrophobic or anyone scared of heights. Also, if you choose to hike above the cave there is a large hole that I would suppose falls into the spring cave system so watch out for that friends. ✌

The trail is a little steep but has plenty of shaded areas along the way to stop and rest. The wind flowers add beauty all along the trail. You'll need a headlamp to get past the ladder once in the cave but you can do the first bit with your cell phone light. The restrooms the trail head were clean and we'll stocked. There are several places with water views to...
