Absolutely amazing spot to picnic and paddleboard. There's a great trail around the lake that's about 1.5 miles and mostly flat. The picnic area by the parking lot has no shade, so make sure to bring sunblock. If you're willing to carry your things a quarter mile-ish, there are some picnic tables in the shade on the other side of the lake.
